Despite a few minor pangs of regret, I'm OK with the decision on bail on yesterdays final cross race up in Lyons. Once I crossed the finish line in KC I had punched the clock for racing for the season, it's time to return to some leisure time activities. We've had the typical Colorado contrasts in weather the past few days. New Years day was just about 60° and I derbied around Palmer in shorts. Today, it was a hair over 20° when I left the house with close to 2 inches of super light fresh pow on the ground, a perfect recipe for another trail ride in Palmer. The park was empty except for a few dog walkers, trails were a bit sketchy since the icy hard spots were hidden under the snow; a beautiful day to get out. Dang I love this state !
