the dirt

I couldn't get out of my own way yesterday morning so when I finally formulated a plan to get out of the house I didn't bother trying to ring anyone else for a trip down to Pueblo. It was already approaching mid-day and I figured I had already missed the boat. That was fine, I do seek out solo rides on occasion for many reasons but mostly for simplicity's sake. Little did I know is that a few couples and some other friends from work had the same idea. Without any prior communication between the six of us we all managed to meet up on the trail. The trails around Pueblo Rez are made by riders, for riders. There is not much is the way of vertical but the riding is very unique to our portion of the front range. Loads of very swoopy, turny singletrack sprinkled with some drops and g-outs to keep you on your toes. A few exposure sections along the water. We had a fantastic ride, the temps were ideal and the ride was a nice mix for me with some solo time and some fun group ride dynamics. If you head down there's plenty of terrain to keep you busy for 2 to 3 hours, bring your cornering skills and a few tubes. Enjoy
